Financial assistance:
We are currently working with Visions Made Viable, a fiscal sponsor and non-
profit incubator, who is assisting us with our pursuit to obtain government
grants and private funding. These funds will allow us to provide financial
assistance for career advancement resources that increase
hirability and transferable skills recognition with
employers and recruiters through:

•
Advanced education
•  Skills improvement classes
•  Expertise development training
•  Job and industry-specific certifications

March 27, 2013 will be our last meeting
After 4 years of meetings and networking,
sharing and caring, laughter and tears,
learning and growing; jobs lost and jobs found
-
Vocare is closing.

Lauren is working on finding new resources,
tools, and advisors to support those who are
currently in-transition and attending our
meetings.
And our ministry will live on through the spirit of "paying it forward" - by networking and the sharing
of advice, best-practices and support of those who have come through our doors.  Pastor Steve and
the other ministerial staff at Ascension will continue to be a source of spiritual and emotional support
for all who need comfort and guidance.

Thank you to all those who have played a role in helping Vocare minister to the unemployed and
underemployed in the Conejo and San Fernando Valleys. We'd particularly like to thank:

  • Pastor Steve Herder and the entire Ascension staff
  • Helen Edler, M.A., LMFT
  • Gary Skerik
  • Pastors Willis Moerer & Jack Ledbetter
  • All past guest speakers and meeting facilitators
  • Our board of directors - Ed Klodt, Michael McDonald, Scott Tesar, Pastor Steve

May God go with you . . .
Before you - to show you the way,
Beside you - to befriend you,
Behind you - to encourage you,
Above you - to watch over you,
And within you - to give  you power.
